  • RISC OS 5 port hopes for netbook now in production
    The new Touch Book netbook, which uses the Beagleboard ARM-powered hardware, could run RISC OS 5 thanks to efforts to port the RISC OS Open flavour of the OS to the ARM Cortex processor family. The tiny netbook is available now to buy, and Bryan Hogan has offered to test the OS port on his Touch Book.   • Acorn World show is back this September
    A two-day event - named after Acorn's annual shows during its heyday - will celebrate the history of Acorn at a conference hall in Huddersfield in September. It will feature a talk by RISC OS Open and exhibitions by Viewdata BBS, The Centre For Computing History and plenty other groups and companies.
