Easy and memory-friendly net access: QuickVoy is treated to an updated By Chris Williams. Published: 23rd Nov 21:54:57 | Permalink | Printable Richard Murray has on his heyrick.co.uk website provided an updated version of the QuickVoy net application. QuickVoy is a replacement 'dialler' and frontend for the Argo !Voyager suite.
"It does not offers themes and fancy effects and instant automatic icons, it's main strength is the wimpslot is only 128K", admits Richard. This means QuickVoy is great for those accessing the Internet on low-memory machines.
QuickVoy allows you to..
- ..write scripted events
- ..set up a time watcher
- ..send email albeit with a very slimline, (that means basic), sender
- ..configure QuickVoy with what Rich describes as a 'pointy clicky draggy configuration thing' ;)
- ..watch POP3 mailboxes for new mail
- ..decide whether it is a good idea to download 505 emails during midday peak rates..
