Midlands show ready for DecemberBy Chris Williams. Published: 6th Oct 2004, 00:15:54 | Permalink | Printable
It's on, apparentlyFollowing the fire that destroyed its venue last year, the ARM Club is hosting the Midlands show this year at the rebuilt National Motorcycle Museum, near Birmingham, UK.
Although previous shows are usually held in November, this year the event opens at the start of December and we believe the ARM Club will be one of the first groups to make use of the museum's hosting facilities since its re-opening.
The usual suspects are listed as confirmed exhibitors, which includes Castle, RISCOS Ltd., R-Comp and CJE. We asked the ARM Club if they had any extra comment on running a show so close to Christmas, but we've yet to get a response.

Prototype affordable Braille display in development
A low-cost computer-controlled Braille board has been prototyped by a RISC OS-using university student. Undergraduate Edward Rogers hopes to sell his completed units for as little as 200 quid each to schools and families to allow more blind children to continue learning Braille. And he said he wanted to launch his venture using RISC OS-powered kit before offering a package for other platforms.
