Cambridge RISC OS meet upBy Chris Williams. Published: 25th Nov 2004, 08:53:26 | Permalink | Printable
Be there, or be elsewhereCambridge, UK -- Drobe assistant editor Peter Naulls has organised a pub meet for RISC OS users past and present, which will take place on the 27th (this Saturday).
The gathering will take place in Cambridge, the birth place of the Acorn era and still home to many users and ex-users who have had their lives in some way touched by the Green Nut.
RISC OS, Acorn users, Acorn employees and ARM employees past and present are welcome to make an appearance. The event's taking place at The Regal (a Weatherspoon's establishment), which is located in the centre of Cambridge on Regent
Street - 10 mins walk from the train station. I've been there before, it's great.
Peter says, "I'll be there from around midday, with a move to as yet to be decided food establishment in the evening. There is no set agenda - this is a social event, but feel free to bring any Acorn/RISC OS items of interest you may have to show and discuss.
"You're welcome to email me and say that you're coming so I have an idea who'll be there - if not, then I'll see you when you turn up. Mobile number available upon request if you'd like to inform me of your where/whenabouts on the day."
Despite this article turning up late in the week, Peter first announced the meet up last Thursday. A number of people have signed up, so don't be shy.
