The Unipod, which officially launched on April Fool's day last year, is an all-in-one USB, NIC and IDE combo-podule.
An email from STD today read: "The Unipod trade-in offer has been available since the day after the launch of the Unipod. As per the original announcement, one month's notice is being given, that the offer will end on the anniversary."
Punters will have until April 1st 2005 to swap existing IDE, USB and ethernet cards for Unipod features. The Unipod was voted the Best New Hardware of 2004 by drobe.co.uk readers.
