Cambridge RISC OS meet up plannedBy Chris Williams. Published: 8th Jul 2005, 18:41:03 | Permalink | Printable
Argue over Iyonix vs A9home with a pint of real aleA second meet up of RISC OS users has been organised for Cambridge next month. Following on from last November's mildly low key yet friendly gathering, organiser Peter Naulls has nominated the swanky Anchor pub as the meeting point on August 20th.
As well as bringing along a few ex-Acorn contacts, Peter also promises to demonstrate some new software or other. It could also be your chance to buy him a farewell pint, seeing as the Firefox porter is jetting off to the US west coast at some point in August.
He said today: "This is an informal meeting of those interested in RISC OS, as well as anyone involved in past or present technology relevant to Acorn or RISC OS."
According to Dave Ruck, who went to the 2004 get-together, there was a "good bit of RISC OS related chattering, drinking, playing with toys, drinking... finishing off with a nice curry."
