ArtWorks 2.4 in summer special offer

Sensational summer sale slash

A photo of Martin WuerthnerArtWorks 2.4 is currently enjoying a summer sale in a stunt that developer MW Software branded as "crazy". Until the end of September, 30 quid has been slashed from the price of a full version of the graphics package and 19 quid from the price for upgrading from version 1.7 to 2.4. In a further act of lunacy, a free printed manual is being thrown in as well.

"There has never been a better time to upgrade or buy the latest in RISC OS vector graphics", declared wild programmer Martin Wuerthner (pictured with his mad bow tie).

Good luck to him and I hope it goes down well.

Also he must be the smartest dressed RISC OS developer at all the shows.

If you are still on the old 1.7 the new features are fantastic and transform the program, so I say go for it and contribute towards Martin getting a crazy new bowtie for the SouthEast show :D

Perhapse drobe can have a competition to design one - all entries in Artworks format of course!

In reply to Druck I think your bow tie idea is a good one.

Judging by the site, the printed manual is an 'upgrade manual'. I assume that this is only included with the reduced price upgrade, and not the reduced price full version. Not that we should expect a printed manual for that price, of course!

I don't think I'd describe Martin as "wild" but he is very helpful. As to the software, druck said it all - it's excellent and surprisingly easy to pick up for something so powerful. Multiple undo and copious interactive help make it a pleasure to experiment with.

As to the bow tie, perhaps we should sponsor Martin to wear it, with proceeds going to the Charity stand? [Sorry martin :-) ].

ninja:

The point about it being an "upgrade manual" is that it only describes the features added since ArtWorks 1.7, i.e., all the features I added, as opposed to a full software manual, which would describe all the features. The ArtWorks 1 manual can be found on the CD in electronic format. Of course, the printed upgrade manual is included with both the reduced price upgrade and the reduced price full version.

Ah, excellent. That makes much more sense. Thanks for clearing that up, Martin.
