CJE to raise cash for hospices By Chris Williams. Published: 31st Aug 2005, 16:02:16 | Permalink | PrintableGenerosity in stock CJE Micros gaffer Chris Evans is set to compete in a grueling triathlon to raise cash for charity. The Southwater Sprint Triathlon, which involves a 400m swim in a lake, a 18.5km bike ride and a 3.8km run, is to take place on Sunday September 4th.
Although Chris aims to complete 22.7km of the punishing course, he says he has already bagged 300 quid in sponsorship and is seeking more.
"I have been doing swimming training for some years but only started training for the Cycling and Running this year," confessed brave Chris. He says he'll split the money raised between St Barnabas and "a suitable Hospice in a 'deprived area'."
Update at 13:20 1/9/2005
The event is to take place on Sunday 4th, and not Saturday as the article originally suggested.

A guide to overclocking Kinetic and StrongARM CPU cards Charlie Lane has compiled a package of notes and photos on overclocking various StrongARM processer cards, including Castle Kinetics, for RiscPCs. Overclocking is the process of ramping up the digital timing signals of the computer to force the processor to work faster. Charlie told us: "I thought it would be fun to investigate the possibilities of speeding up my Kinetic RiscPC - only to find suitable information on Kinetic cards was rather hard to come by so I set about working it out for myself." Note: Follow the instructions entirely at your own risk.
