But first, it needs you to contact themMedia Watch German magazine Gag-News is compiling a list of active RISC OS software and product developers for the benefit of users on the European mainland. All maintainers and programmers of software, developers of hardware, and providers of related information and documentation are invited to make themselves known by emailing GAGNews (at) HQ (dot) gag (dot) de. This address will self destruct after the deadline of November 11th.
Editor Herbert zur Nedden said, "It's not easy to know who is still active in the RISC OS market - especially if you live outside UK and if you don't read English well."
Herbert last attempted a stunt like this the year Acorn announced its break up, and the Acorn World show was effectively cancelled. He also asks that people who email in should go beyond giving a URL to a website, and describe their work in detail.

ArtWorks 2.9 set for Wakefield 2009 launch
The latest version of graphics package ArtWorks is set to be unveiled at this month's Wakefield 2009 show - and will allow PNGs and other bitmaps to be exported with alpha transparency intact. Click on the link with NetSurf, Firefox or some other capable browser to see an illustration of the exported translucency effect. The software will also gain extra features to the editing of text, including smart quotes and automatic ligatures, according to developer Martin Wuerthner.
