All third parties welcome at roadshow says ROLBy Chris Williams. Published: 19th Nov 2005, 19:00:39 | Permalink | Printable
Good time to bury the hatchet we think [Updated]RISCOS Ltd. have stressed that all parties are welcome to exhibit at next month's ambitious RISC OS roadshow provided they contact ROL. A spokesperson for the company said, "The aim was absolutely to use this as an opportunity to bring the RISC OS community together again", adding that third parties who aren't listed as exhibitors have simply not expressed an interest yet. ROL were responding to speculation that particular companies, including Castle, have been banned from the Christmas line up of events.
Charging 30 quid per table and offering free admission for punters rules out having a substantial advertising budget, according to RISCOS Ltd. However the developers of RISC OS 4 argued the low booking fee should make exhibiting affordable to everyone from small developers to larger companies.
The roadshow is expected to take place between December 15th and 17th across the UK. The list of exhibitors attending is yet to be confirmed.
