RISC OS school seeks ICT technician By Chris Williams. Published: 10th May 2006, 16:55:49 | Permalink | PrintableClosing date next week RISC OS powered Knightsfield School is looking for a new part-time ICT technician to join its staff. The school for deaf children, which recently won an IT award, are hoping to employ someone with Acorn and Apple mac experience. Located in Hertfordshire, Knightsfield use some 40 RiscPCs with a collection of Apple Macs to teach in classrooms.
Deputy head Sharon Pointeer said sign language was not a must for the job.
She added: "The hours will be Monday to Friday three hours per day, term time only plus two weeks. Times to be negotiated with the successful candidate. The school is located in Welwyn Garden City and caters for 50 secondary aged hearing impaired pupils."
