Bug fixes and tweaks for bug fixing app

DeskDebug screenshotA new version of software development aid DeskDebug is ready to be released, says author Niklaus Weiss. Published by Spellings, the programming tool, which helps developers pin-point faults in their applications, has been bug fixed and tweaked to bring it up to version 1.08. According to Niklaus, it weighs in at some 15,400 lines of ARM assembler source code.

He said: "Compared to the first version released a year ago, it has many bug fixes and improvements. The version 1.02 released at the Wakefield last year conisted of 13,200 assembler source lines; the new version 1.08 consists of 15,400 lines."

Amongst various fixes and updates, DeskDebug can now handle projects with a large amount of source code; is better at tracking communication between applications; the way in which variables inside programs are inspected has been improved; and the user interface has been improved, especially for the choices and context windows.

Niklaus added the latest version is yet to be made available to RISC OS users.

The Swiss programmer said: "I just sent the new version to Neil Spellings and hope that he will upload it and the HTML manuals on his software store website as soon as possible."
