Award winning school for deaf children is hiringA RISC OS powered school in Hertfordshire is hoping to hire a new year seven teacher with experience of our platform. Knightsfield school is seeking a teacher to start in September to cover subjects including english, maths and humanities.
Deputy head Sharon Pointeer said the new post was created as the school for deaf children is taking on two groups of the pupils aged 12 to 13. The school uses a bank of 40 RiscPCs running Adjust and a collection of Apple Macs.
She said: "There are probably loads of teachers out there who remember using Acorn machines and would like to go back to having them in their classrooms, perhaps."
The school was able to hire an ICT technician in May after an article appeared on drobe.co.uk, and has previously collected awards for its IT teaching.
