Bring a friendThe 2006 German Archimedes Group meeting of RISC OS users in Europe is set to take place this month in Wolfen, Germany. The weekend long event attracts punters from the Eurozone, giving them chance to try out new kit and meet like minded punters. Dealer and RISC OS resources translator a4 is hosting the show at its offices on Saturday, September 23, and Sunday, September 24, from 10am on Saturday to around lunchtime on Sunday.
Organiser Herbert zur Nedden said: "The annual big meeting of the German Archimedes Group usually attracts visitors from all over Germany as well as the odd user from neighbour countries like Austria and the Netherlands. It offers the option to meet other users, see and try out new products, get problems solved by others, etc.

Das GAG-Clubtreffen 2006 findet zusammen mit dem a.u.t.o. (Acorn User Treffen Ost) vom 23. bis 24. September 2006 in Wolfen statt. Es bietet die Gelegnheit, andere User zu treffen, neue Produkte zu beäugen und zu testen, Probleme gelöst zu bekommen usw. Näheres steht auf gag.de.
"Due to the long distance for some to get there the event is from Saturday until Sunday - probably the only two-day RISC OS show around."
Drop Herbert an email if you want to bring a computer to the show, to ensure there is enough space for everyone. GAG has been running since the golden Acorn age of 1992, and has since April of that year regularly published a bi-monthly magazine for German RISC OS users.

Partis Computing takes over DigiFlash range
Partis Computing has reveal it has taken over further development of Surftec's DigiFlash products, which it originally created for Surftec in 2001 and 2002. Existing users have been invited to apply to receive the latest driver updates. Gary Partis, of Partis Computing, said: "We are best placed for continued development of these products." Users can plug Flash memory cards into their RISC OS computers via the parallel printer port using a DigiFlash interface device. Surftec withdrew from the platform in 2003.
