Keen eyed readers will have noticed the new news quickies section on drobe.co.uk - a newswire of RISC OS news for you to peruse at your pleasure. The quickies are handy links to new and updated software, and other RISC OS-related websites. It even has an RSS feed for you 'news ticker'-using types.

Usually, we round up these sorts of bits and pieces for 'news in brief' articles as a compilation of news items that we can't quite justify full articles for. Sadly, our free time is growing more and more limited these days, so it's better for us to post links and snippets of news as and when we can.

You can find the quickies on your soopa-doopa customisable drobe.co.uk front page or the link below. Enjoy.

This is a nice idea. Would it be possible to have a feed available that includes both this and the normal articles as well as a link to the home page?

Why do you need a combined one? Do the RISC OS RSS client(s) not cope with multiple feeds?

A low-cost computer-controlled Braille board has been prototyped by a RISC OS-using university student. Undergraduate Edward Rogers hopes to sell his completed units for as little as 200 quid each to schools and families to allow more blind children to continue learning Braille. And he said he wanted to launch his venture using RISC OS-powered kit before offering a package for other platforms.
