An online German radio station aimed at users of niche computer platforms has recorded a feature on RISC OS. The Podcast For Alternative Computer Systems website (POFACS.de) has interviewed Herbert zur Nedden of the GAG News magazine, who chats about everybody's favourites operating system.
Billing RISC OS as an "operating system on a chip", the website states: "Most computer users have probably experienced something like this during the days of the Commodore C64 or Amiga. Today, slim, efficient and fast systems exist which can protect their resources in ROM and defy viruses and other enemies."
POFACS.de's Mario Heide told us: "Our website tries to describe alternative computer systems to other users. In our latest podcast, we speak to Herbert zur
Nedden of GAG News about RISC OS."
The MP3 of the German language interview is available for free download. The podcast also includes a feature on the open source DTP application Scribus. POFACS caters for users of various minority operating systems - from NetBSD to Amiga platforms.
