Big Ben Club organises mini-Expo

Published: 19th Sep 2007, 05:25:20 | Permalink | Printable

Punters gather for cosy chat this Saturday

show news logoAn informal get together for RISC OS users on the continent will take place this month. According to its organisers, the Big Ben Club, the event is supposed to replace the Dutch Expo show, which was cancelled in August.

It's hoped the day will be a more laid back and relaxed affair, akin to a large user group meeting, rather than an official show - although everyone from enthusiasts to dealers are welcome. Free coffee, a LAN and Internet access will be provided, and the club will bring along its Iyonix and Omega computers. Punters are encouraged to bring their own kit.

Big Ben Club secretary Jos Uljin told us: "The atmosphere definitely will be RISC OS-centred."

The gathering takes place on Saturday September 22 from 10am to 5pm. See the link below for directions and more details.

Excellent and very welcome news. The only question I have is whether some RISC OS companies or dealers will attend? I know it's a more informal meeting, but it would be very welcome nonetheless.

For companies and dealers this is real short notice... Anyhow I will try to be there (with my A9) :)

Oh no! While i'd love to attend more shows, etc, I will be spending the time in a plaster cast, following an Op. Oh well, there's always the next event.

We won't be there! The first I knew about it was reading this article today 27 hours before I would have had to leave!

Ohps, the posting from OwlArt should say it is from CJE Micro's (Andrew must have logged into Drobe last on this computer!)
