Following the release of Select 5i1, powered by RISC OS 6.14, by RISCOS Ltd, what do you make of its new features - the headliners being a 64K colour mode and the ability to slide sub-menus to the left if a menu is opened too close to the right-hand edge of the desktop.

What´s the last option meant to mean? Is it a place for David Holden to vote, or what?

I think RISC OS 6 in general has been a good release from ROL. Let's hope they can keep the momentum up with another release this year.

Where's the option for "I'd like to try it, but as ROL refuse to support the Iyonix and I've sold the Risc PC, I can't".

I agree that RISC OS 6.14 is a good update to the ROL version and it has enhanced the RISC OS experience on my Kinetic RiscPC but I'm rather saddened that for what ever reasons the two RISC OS factions couldn't end up co-operating to ensure a version came out for the Iyonix, which is my main machine.

  • Will Wakefield 2009 see a new graphics card for RISC OS?
Speculation is mounting that the Vpod, a mysterious new product pre-announced this week, could be a graphics card on a podule for RiscPC-class machines. Well-placed sources have said that the Vpod is not an April Fools joke despite it being hyped up on April 1st by Stuart Tyrrell Developments, which sells the Unipod upgrade and is linked with A9home manufacturer Advantage Six.
