This month a number of Acorn enthusiasts exhibited their favourite 8-bit kit at Byte Back convention - a two-day UK show that featured all manner of electronic equipment from C64s to arcade cabs demonstrated by their adoring fans. Dave Moore, who was able to secure a few tables for Acorn hardware, organised a meet up for like-minded enthusiasts at the event and gave us this round-up of reports and photos from the show.

Dave added: "The Econet setup - which spread the entire length and breadth of the Executive Suite - had to be seen to be believed. There was also an A3010 there running a brand new 5-player arcade game called Bomber Blaster - no prizes for guessing which arcade game it was inspired by."

Coder John Williams said he will make his shareware Pic_Index software freely available if no one else is interested in taking over development within the next fortnight. He said: "If anyone is seriously interested in developing it further, please contact me. This would be subject to continuing to support the existing user base (including me) for an agreed period, and to actually having concrete ideas for further development." John said he hadn't worked on the BASIC program in years and its website domain was due to be renewed, which promoted this month's action.
