em2ac: I think it means he has already got testers for RiscPC (himself) and is looking for setups he has not got.

The webpage suggests 3.1 -> 5 compatability

I wish I could get my copy 2.56 to play mp3's or rather hear them. It always used to but now its very low even on 100% volume. Playing a CD is fine though. Its a great app.

I have absolutely no idea. I've deleted everything to do with digitalcd and re-installed with all the bits.... I have something which is muting down the volume on digital cd with an mp3, even though it says 100 % I can use amplayer, ROtunes all with no problem, so something has changed something ?

The choices, which module are you using for playback?

Looking at the choices in Digital Cd I have AMPlayer and if I drag a file to amplayer it belts it out normally.

Cor, do people still use AMPlayer? It sounds *dreadful* compared to the libmad port used elsewhere. libmad isn't quite as quick, but then it also means everything doesn't sound like the 90s.

If you have DigitalCD playing MP3s with AMPlayer, it must have been changed from the default.

Try playing with DiskSample instead. It sounds better than AMPlayer anyway. To change it, set

1AD = smp

in !DCDRes.Setup, or set

!1AD = smp

if you want double clicking an MP3 to load DigitalCD automatically.

But I still hardly have any volume. I have turned up the speakers to max and I can barely hear the track

This is slightly off topic, but one improvement I'd like to suggest to KinoAmp, if you're reading Andre, is a proper volume control with slider, like they have on Windows (spit!), rather than just an on/off button.

Many MPEGs, in their virgin state, are either too loud or too quiet.

Many thanks for developing this app, by the way. I do a lot of work with FFMpeg, extracting MPEGs from FLVs and VOBs from my DVD recorder, and without your sterling efforts, I wouldn't have anything to play them on.

    It sounds like an invading alien force but in actual fact it's a growing music file format. And RISC OS has it.
