RISC OS dealer CJE Micros is after a C programmer to further develop Dalriada's TableMate Designer II and hopefully produce a 32bit-compatible build. CJE this week confirmed it was able to continue supplying the software to RISC OS end users.

Perhaps this is one of the many pieces of software that would benefit from being made open source.

Shame such a contract cannot be renegotiated given that it is most likely no longer relevant.

Someone in WAUG said at least one person had been (unsucessfully) looking for a copy of Tablemate, the 26b version. He was willing to pay, but couldn't find a copy, so there's (commercial) life in that app yet.

Just because somebody's interested in buying doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good choice for open-sourcing.

Well done to CJE for continuing to actively support the platform.

TableMate is better described as typesetting tool for text and graphics, in tabular form, employing a modified Draw file format. It isn't simply a data entry package. It is far more than that and as such is worth developing further. I agree, well done CJE.
