Artex Software, a games company familiar with most RISC OS users, are probasbly best known as the developers of their exciting forthcoming realtime strategy game TEK 1608. Today drobe.co.uk was contacted by Jan Klose of Artex informing us of their presence at this year's Wakefield 2001 show- their press release is given below.
"PLAY TEK 1608 at this year's Wakefield Show!
You've heard of Cannon Fodder. You've heard of Dune II. And your friends play Command and Conquer. At the Wakefield Show 2001, you will be able to experience the new realtime strategy game for RISC OS: TEK 1608 - live!
After almost four years of work, Artex Software are proud to present a brand new game for your RISC OS computer! In cooperation with R-Comp Interactive, this exciting realtime strategy game will be demonstrated at this year's show. Now you can pick up the mouse and send the battle units through the jungle, across deserts and snow-covered hills, and solve tricky strategic tasks. Professional graphics, a dense atmosphere, and well thought-out gameplay could make TEK the RISC OS game of the year! The actual release of the game will follow shortly after the Show, when all game balancing work has been done.
So visit the Wakefield Show and enjoy TEK 1608!
As if there wasn't enough encouragement already, it seems this year's Wakefield 2001 will be unmissable.
