VOTI take action to beat graphics shortage: Projects in "jeopardy"By Chris Williams. Published: 9th May 20:03:59 | Permalink | Printable
Today drobe.co.uk has unfortunately yet exclusively learnt of a popular RISC OS games company's skills crisis. VOTI -Visions of the Impossible- are an established group who brought you the redevelopment of Starfighter 3000 and are currently developing racing game EMD. However, due to a turn of events as explained below, VOTI ringleader Nathan Atkinson is willing to take steps to ensure current and future game projects are continued.
As Nathan personally writes:
"All current VOTI projects are in jeopardy due to the lack of graphics artists. It is severely holding up any work on EMD and hampering OverCast too. If this isn't resolved then there are two possibilities:
1. We abandon our projects.
2. We try and do the graphics using currently available models which will make the games look like typical 80's Amiga games, time permitting.
It is a very difficult position to be in. We don't specifically need RISC OS graphics artists but we want reliable help.
If you would like to contribute to a current or possibly future VOTI project, try one of the links below.
