Graphic Tablets in Paradise for Wakefield 2001 By Chris Williams. Published: 18th May 07:30:51 | Permalink | Printable Paradise, a RISC OS games house, has this week launched a new range of graphics tablets, which apparently "..provide a superior input method for all types of graphics-related activities, as well as enhancing standard mouse-based programs and the RISC OS Desktop."
The tablets connect will any available RS232 (Serial) port on your computer (that includes Serial podules etc.) and draws power via a keyboard pass-through connector, so no external power supplies are required for modern RISC OS machines. The driver software, provided by Paradise, allows work area calibration, pressure sensing adjustment, click pressure and button mapping. You can also still use the mouse while the tablet is connected.
The launch of these items coincides with this weekend's Wakefield 2001 show, so Paradise have decided to slash the price down from the normal price of £65 to £50. The tablet on offer is the 5"x 4" PaintPal tablet, with pressure-sensitive cordless batteryless stylus and stand.
