Fishy web hosting by PepperfishPublished: 13th Oct 2001, 16:38:26 | Permalink | Printable
We'll do anything for money. Shallow, us?Finding a good server hosting company can be tricky. As you all know, drobe.co.uk relies on the joy that is dsvr.co.uk and Iconbar relies on, erm, the space under Richard's office desk. Finding a web hoster can be easy if you know what you are doing.
Recently, drobe.co.uk was informed by Slayer co-author Rob Kendrick that the fresh new web company Pepperfish.org is now offering low cost web hosting. Rob, who (get this) incidentally works for Pepperfish and was part of the now disbanded Kiwisoft software group, revealed to drobe.co.uk that a number of RISC OS companies websites are as we speak hosted on the Pepperfish server.
By the way, anyone looking for a quick set of online tools for checking things like web servers can go to tools.blueyonder.co.uk.
So now you know.

Organizer not forgotten, says publisher
Registered users of popular life management software Organizer have been assured that development of the program is on-going, reports Steve Potts. Nigel Willmott, who took over as Organizer publisher a while ago, said a programmer was "hard at work on a new version of Organizer for release soon", and called for users to send in their feature suggestions or offer to become beta testers.
