ArcEm re-released

By Chris Williams. Published: 12th May 2002, 17:18:12 | Permalink | Printable

Everyone wants an A400 in their PC, really

In the red corner tonight: fightin' all the way from Bracknell UK, weighing in at 29 pounds and managed by 3QD, we give you Virtual Acorn. And in the blue corner tonight, open sourcing it from sourceforge.net and maintained by Peter Naulls, we present you ArcEm.

In the event that you want to run RISC OS 3.1 on your linux machine or Windows portable, ArcEm would be a worthwhile application. It's capable of emulating an A400 and people are encouraged to submit updates and patches to keep ArcEm up to date.

If you are seriously considering using RISC OS, drobe.co.uk does recommend that you do us all a favour and get your hands on some real RISC OS hardware, preferably something running RISC OS 4.
