WROCC reaction, captions and more

What did the organisers think?
To follow up our report on the Wakefield 2002 show, drobe.co.uk caught up with Steve Potts, club secretary of the Wakefield RISCOS Computer Club, the organisation that brought you last weekend's successful show.

Although we couldn't prise any attendance figures out of Steve, the WROCC official did have the following comments,
"I'd like to thank all our helpers, exhibitors and visitors, the show just isn't possibile without them all. One other thing I could say is that the show seemed pretty busy to me, especially on the Saturday, and lots of exhibitors appeared to be very happy with their visitors - I guess people were spending lots of money.
"There were a few new software packages (TEK for one) and hardware bits to buy (USB Podule) or look at (RiscStation Portable technology)."

'Aye aye caption
As a spare of the moment thing, we offered readers the chance to caption this photo of the CJE stand from our Wakefield show report:

Given CJE's infamous "we have it in stock" saying, we knew this was going to be an entertaining exercise. Here's some of the funnier captions we were sent:

Peter Wightman
"Previously cherished, matched pair of hands? We've got some in stock."
Theo Markettos
"We have it in stooooooooooo........ ck"
Justin Fletcher
"Of course, sir; at CJE we have everything in stock... I believe Chris is at this moment searching for our stocks of quicksand..."
"ViewFinder does work drobe, please don't shoot!"

Teasing
drobe.co.uk has a few policies to ensure that we bring you the very best news coverage. In this instance, we've broken one of our inhouse rules and decided to tease you with a link to a page that was brought to drobe.co.uk's attention. We make no comment on the photos. The person who discovered them believes that this system is running RISC OS natively.
