Got a RISC OS project? Need a website? Not a problem.Ian Hawkins, famous for the RISC OS resource website acornsearch.com that's currently down for maintenance, contacted drobe.co.uk today with news of his new initiative for RISC OS related projects.
Ian's site Prowl.org is offering web hosting and shell accounts totally free to developers who can prove that they're working on RISC OS projects. Full details and services can be found on the prowl.org website.
"Hopefully the services offered by prowl.org will encourage more activity in the RISC OS development arena, keeping the platform up to date with the latest fashions on the internet", Ian explained exclusively to drobe.co.uk. "And it also seemed like a rather good idea."
Ian's announcement comes soon after 4D's relaunch of the "RiscPCs for developers" scheme and then the sneak preview of a new documentation project at riscosdocs.org. Things look very promising it seems for anyone wishing to create new software for the platform.
