Stuart Marshall resigns from comp.sys.acorn.announceNewgroup comp.sys.acorn.announce, described in an earlier drobe.co.uk article as lying "at the heart of the online RISC OS community", has faced another change to its team of moderators. As of last week Stuart Marshall is no longer moderator of the announce group, handing the reins over to previous backup moderator Andrew Conroy.
"It is with sadness and regret that as of today I have resigned my post as moderator of comp.sys.acorn.announce", announced Stuart. "...I came on board as backup moderator for Alan Glover back in July 1996 - and was then promoted to moderator in January 1997. In my time with the group I have approved around 2800 messages.
"I've had some fantastic times over the years, met many people who regularly post to the group and have been privileged to post some exciting announcements to the Acorn community. The most exciting time for me centred around the release of the StrongARM processor."
drobe.co.uk thanks Stuart for all his work in bringing us csa.announce and also best of luck to Andrew and Nick. For the unaware, comp.sys.acorn.announce is a moderated newsgroup that is a key source of news and announcements to the online RISC OS community.
