RISC OS 4 price dropBy Chris Williams. Published: 15th Nov 2002, 11:44:27 | Permalink | Printable
"Permanently low price"Normally, we at drobe.co.uk like to enrich our articles with editorial and other interesting content, making RISC OS news a stimulating experience for all. In other words, we don't like short articles but this one will have to be an exception. RISC OS 4.0x, developed by RISCOS Ltd., is distributed on ROM chips that plug into your RISC OS machine's motherboard and it's what makes RISC OS unique from other OSes that are usually loaded off hard discs and similar media. This means you can expect fast boot times and the reassuring thought that you can never accidentally delete or otherwise break your OS. One reboot later, it'll still be there.
To the point, this week RISCOS Ltd. have announced that having secured future supplies of OTP (one time programmable) ROM chips for their RISC OS 4 ROM packs, they're able to permanently lower the price of RISC OS 4. New pricing and ordering details are avilable from the link below. If you are still using RISC OS 3.7 or worse, please do yourself a favour and upgrade. You'll thank us. No in fact, you'll thank RISCOS Ltd.
