More software updates

By . Published: 14th Jan 2003, 19:08:22 | Permalink | Printable

We want more. More updates! Ahem.

CVS 1.03 (http://home.student.utwente.nl/m.m.bezemer/cvsuk.html)

Maarten Bezemer has updated the RISC OS port of CVS once more. Noteworthy features are the use of the GCC 2.95.4r3 compiler and attendant UnixLib fixes, use of Dynamic Areas for storage, use of the Crypt Random module for security and a tighter filetypes list. To find more about what CVS is all about, check out the CVS homepage at http://www.cvshome.org/docs

NetWatch 1.63 (http://home.student.utwente.nl/m.m.bezemer/netwatchuk.html)

Maarten Bezemer has also made some small tweaks to his NetWatch program which tracks changes on webpages.

EnBank 2.03 (http://www.envsoft.co.uk/riscos/)

EnVision Software have improved their multi-currency RISC OS accounts package. It now imports Javascript 1.5 and adheres to ECMA-262. Splendid. They've also fixed some problems relating to the use of Dynamic Areas on machines with large amounts of RAM (yes, that old chestnut again!). EnBank requires RISC OS 3.5 or later.

FTPc 1.40 (http://www.ftpc.iconbar.com/)

Arguably the best FTP client for RISC OS, FTPc, is now up to version 1.40 and includes facilities for nested submenus!

Most of the apps mentioned here have also been upped to 32bit compatibility for those running such variants of RISC OS

Previous: New RISC OS 4.05 ROM set for March
Next: Aemulor demo within next couple of weeks
