Drobe Competition ResultBy Peter Naulls. Published: 20th Jan 2003, 00:42:07 | Permalink | Printable
On the edge of your seat? We're proud to announce the winner of our recent competition to win Castle's C/C++ tools. Although the number of entries was very small, all were of good quality, such that we wouldn't have minded calling our own.
Eventually tipping the scales in his favour with his commentary on patching RISC OS programs and taking the prize was Alex Macfarlane Smith; whose article we'll be publishing on Drobe in the next few days, followed later by the remainder of the aritcles. Mention also goes to David Watson for his last minute entry (20 minutes to spare) and A Team parody. And finally our last two entries from Steve Knutson with his discussion of RiscLua and Chris Wraight's satirical warning about the dangers of Usenet.
And of course we must again thank John Myers for his kind donation of the prize. We hope Alex enjoys it, and maybe we'll see more Drobe content written in the future by our participants.
