Get version 1.3 while it's hot and yummyNot that we like starting on such stock introductions but here's some good news for Simtec USB users and in fact, if these regular updates continue, we'll have to group them into the monthly roundups or something. According to an email sent today from Vincent Sanders of Simtec, they've updated their USB stack to version 1.3 following a number of bug fixes and having improved stability and interoperability.
"All users will see some small performance improvements", Vincent tells us, "but this release is mainly intended to improve compatibility with the large number of 'soft' (DFU) devices which need their firmware uploading when connected."
We're also reminded of Stuart Tyrell Developments Wireless networking devices which enables RISC OS machines to connect to wireless networks, all powered of course by Simtec's USB hardware.
