 | 32bit AMPlayer
In a move that will have Iyonix users rushing to copy their music stockpiles from their older machines onto their shiny XScale powered computers, a 32 bit version of RISC OS' top MP3 audio player was released on the AMPlayer website yesterday.
The 32 bit version is technically unofficial according to the AMPlayer site and is derived from the latest version of the freeware MP3 playback module, specifically 1.39. |
 | MSN Messenger updated
Author of the original and freeware RISC OS MSN Messenger client, Phil Hardy, informed drobe.co.uk today that version 0.23b of his software is now online and features a resizeable contacts window and icon sets for user status as well as other bug fixes and other tweaks. The current version is a beta version so it may go "wonky" but users we've spoken to have regarded it as perfectly usable. |
 | Desktop eclipsed
Eclipse is another desktop space slideshow animation app from Jochen Lueg, the developer behind the version nice Oneday software. "This little animation shows the shadow of the moon move across the South Atlantic and Africa during a solar eclipse in June 2001", explains Jochen. "The photographs were taken by ESA's Meteosat space craft." |
