Alternative virus killer

KiwiSoft's virus killer has been updated to include HostFS support (for Red Squirrel users) plus as this is their last planned release for Slayer, it no longer complains if the VD engine is out of date.
The KiwiSoft site also hosts lots of their other software with source code now included for you to mess with and play with.
Baby, come back

An announcement this week by Tony Howat of Dover Associates caused a bit of an uproar amongst the online RISC OS community, Paul Vigay taking only 17 minutes to respond by choking on his own rage in disgust.
"Dover Associates are now offering a new and specialised migration service to transfer, preserve and archive Acorn based software, data and systems used in businesses and schools", cheeky Tony informs us. "We can re-implement or port any bespoke software as required, and integrate data from any legacy systems into your current or future platform."
Basically, if you've got files locked to specific RISC OS only software or custom RISC OS software that you want to use on, say, Windows or Linux, Dover Associates will do the necessary (paid) work to convert your stuff across. Despite Paul Vigay, Dave Ruck and others voicing their immediate concerns (and calling into question the judgement of the Announce moderators, ho ho), surely none of you would be thinking of abandoning our platform, now would you?
There's tables and then there's tables

Nick Roberts has tweaked his MakeTable software to include a command line interface and a minor bug fix. MakeTable is a handy utility to convert CSV or TSV files into HTML tables.

GedcomWeb version 3.01 released this week by Hilary Phillips creates javascript powered family tree web pages from GEDCOM files. This version has many improvements, including the support for lots more GEDCOM fields and definable text styles.
Surfing getting good

Open source RISC OS web browser project NetSurf is looking good:
We're told it now supports inline JPEGs.
