The Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club (WROCC) will be holding their AGM on the evening of Wednesday 7th January 2004, including a buffet for members, and a guest speaker. Meetings take place at the West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club, Sandal Hall Close (off Walton Lane), Barnsley Road (A61), Sandal. More details can be found on their website at www.wrocc.org.uk
WROCC raised over 235 pounds at its charity auction in December, a new record. The club has now raised over a thousand pounds for the Sick Children's Trust over the past five years.
Andrew Rawnsley of R-Comp will be visiting the RISC OS North West User Group (RONWUG) on Wednesday January 21st 2004, demonstrating R-Comp's wide range of software and hardware for RISC OS users. There's also the possibility of some new software being announced.

MicroDigital's biggest fan, Tarquin Mills will be talking to RUNG (RISC OS Users' Norfolk Group) about "The Inclusive Web", covering "Alternate Domain Names". Tarquin has had a lot to say about the Omega in the past, so perhaps it's worth asking him about that as well.
The meeting is scheduled as 7pm for 7:30pm on Thursday 18th December 2003, at the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Cambridge Street, Norwich NR2 2BA. More information (including parking details etc) can be obtained from Peter Lacey or Paul Beverley or on 01603 722 544 (daytime).
The Norfolk group meets on the third Thursday evening of every month, usually at the same venue. There is an entrance fee of 2ukp to cover costs, but this includes tea, coffee, biscuits and (on this occasion) Christmas food!
RISCOS.be, the Belgian RISC OS user group, meets at 8pm on Friday 9th January and Friday 23rd January 2004. More information on the group can be found at www.riscos.be.
The RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL) now benefits from a separate meeting room and "big screen" video projection for speaker meetings. ROUGOL meets on the third Monday evening of each month, at The Blue-Eyed Maid, 173 Borough High Street, London SE1 1HR. Admittance and membership are free.
January's meeting will be a presentation of AppBasic, "the easiest way to write standard RISC OS applications for the desktop", by its author Joe Taylor. In February Richard Brown from Oregano UK Ltd will visit.

BARUG meets at the Brook Way Community Centre, Bradley Stoke, Bristol (just off junction 15 of the M5). There is plenty of free parking. In all other months, BARUG meetings begin at 7.30pm on the last Wednesday of the month. For more information, contact Jack Evans on 0117 973 6237, or see www.barug.co.uk
