Goodbye Iain, Martyn and George.Regrettably, we must report on the recent passing of Iain Truskett, Martyn Fox and George Foot. As we're all very much aware, our platform is made up of many kind hearted people who contribute time and effort to our small community. Their work, we shall be ever grateful for and our sincerest thoughts and profound condolences go to their families and friends during these difficult times.
Iain Truskett, 1979 - 2003
Iain sadly died on December 29th, last year. Iain's work included various RISC OS applications and his contribution to the StrongHelp manual project, a huge, freely available document library for RISC OS software developers.
Martyn Fox, - 2003
Writer of RISC OS books and a major contributor to Foundation RISC User, Martyn Fox sadly passed away in late November, last year. Martyn was working on a second edition of his first book, A Beginner's Guide to Wimp Programming, when he died.
George Foot, 1914 - 2004
The author of RISC OS' BCF cryptosystem and an enthusiastic member of the Surrey and Sussex Acorn User group, George Foot, sadly died this month. SASAUG chairperson John Sawer said George "will be sadly missed."
