CLib release fixes Fireworks, Pipedream problemBy Chris Williams. Published: 28th Jan 2004, 16:25:24 | Permalink | Printable
SharedCLibrary up to 5.47In December last year, users of Pipedream and Fireworks were warned of a problem with Castle's SharedCLibrary (CLib) that interfered with the packages' INT() function. The bug, described as serious at the time, apparently only arose for users of 26bit RISC OSes with CLib 5.46 loaded. It was unknown at the time if the same fault affected other software.
Now in response, Castle have released version 5.47 of their CLib module which reportedly corrects the problem. RISC OS Select user Rex Palmer, who first spotted the fault, confirmed today that the new version of CLib works with Pipedream and Fireworks.

Community-produced RISC OS 5.14 in final testing
A RISC OS 5 ROM image produced from RISC OS Open's shared source project and code contributed by volunteer programmers has been submitted to Castle for testing. Once it has passed a round of QA, Castle, aka Iyonix Ltd, is expected to ship the new ROM image to end users. A copy of the ROM image, which is suitable for XScale-powered Iyonix computers, is available for download now for anyone crazy enough to test it on their hardware. ROOL's Steve Revill said: "This ROM build includes a snapshot of all the latest updates and submissions to the shared source project from the community."
