RISCWorld assesses online RISC OS worldBy Chris Williams. Published: 29th Jan 2004, 18:23:59 | Permalink | Printable
New issue outMedia Watch Despite the recent attention on the Acorn Publisher and Acorn User merger, there are other publications catering for RISC OS users that can't be overlooked. Issue 5 of volume 4 of the bi-monthly CD based magazine RISCWorld is out now and includes tutorials and bundled software MenuBar and DrawWorks XE.
In their feature on online portals, drobe.co.uk was generously described as "a clear winner", with the article commenting that the "regularity of updates make it a must-visit location for all users of RISC OS computers. Items do have a habit of appearing here before comp.sys.acorn.announce, and they do have a healthy dose of comment added along the way."
So we'll just overlook our embarassing inactivity last week, then. Plus, being a wholly online organisation, we can't blame the sudden snow fall in the UK. Blush.
Also in this edition of RISCWorld: A guide to safely overclocking your StrongARM processor, reviews of DataPower Home and the A6, unrepentant speculation on the future of the Iyonix, upcoming show details and the next part in the serialisation of the Dabhand BASIC V book.
