Castle are once again selling DIY Iyonix motherboard kits, allowing users to save cash by building Iyonix computers themselves.The offer is open for the next 15 days, which conveniently covers this weekend's show, and is exactly like the DIY kit they offered in October.
The DIY kits include just a standard Iyonix motherboard, a modified Nvidia GeForce2 graphics card, an installation CD, and a cable kit - punters have to buy all the other components like a hard disc, case, etc., but this also allows them to shop around and save cash. Many users have complained that the normal retail price of the Iyonix is otherwise too steep, and the DIY kit offer was launched after considerable pressure from end users.
Having spoken to users who purchased Iyonix DIY kits in October, it's fairly straight forward to build up a full computer provided you follow the component guidelines.
