An open source application for Unix operating systems that can display RISC OS draw files has been released by Jonathan Marten. DrawView can handle the native vector graphics format as well as derivative formats from DrawPlus, Vector, Poster, Chameleon and other applications. All the standard objects are supported, plus the Vector extension ones. RISC OS fonts can be mapped to respective TrueType typefaces.
The current version is described being as "work in progress"; improvements to the accuracy of the text display, printing support, GridPro file handling, and other enhancements have been pencilled onto the todo list.
The GPL licensed software, written in C++, requires the Qt 4 libraries, which leaves the door open for Windows and Mac OS X ports.
