Aad said: "I'm quite sure there will not be a Big Ben Club RISC OS Expo in 2006. Matt Hendriks and myself decided the Expo 2005 will be the last Big Ben Show we will organise."
The Expo, held in the city of Utrecht, usually takes place in June and attracts users and companies from all over the mainland, including France and Germany. It typically plays host to interesting DIY hardware projects and has seen explosive theatre talks by Microdigital's Dave Atkins and other turning points in recent RISC OS history.Aad added that the Big Ben Club could organise a new show some time in the future, possibly as early as next year.
He said: "In combination with a decreasing number of visitors and sponsors, the Big Ben Club is still thinking about a new format for the Expo, certainly at another location and most probably another period of the year.
"I suppose the Big Ben Club will make an anouncement when the main issues has been sorted out."
ARM Club committee member David Ruck, who represented the ARM Club when it exhibited at the show, said he was disappointed by the news.
"We always enjoyed our trips over to Holland which we normally turned in to a four day driving tour of northern Europe," said Dave.
"Unfortunately a combination of lack of funds and prior commitments prevented us from attending in the past two years."
The Big Ben Club were unavailable for comment.
