GCC logoDevelopers using GCC 3 to build their software were urged this week to upgrade to the latest version, namely GCC 3.4.6 release 2. There a number of tweaks and updates in this new release, with faults in the compiler, assembler, UnixLib, linker, and other components addressed.

GCCSDK official John Tytgat said: "GCCSDK GCC 3.4.6 Release 2 is an interim bug fix release for the 3.4.6 Release 1 we did three months ago. We strongly recommend all GCCSDK users to update to this version."

GCCSDK is a free, open source port of the GCC C/C++ and Fortran development tools to RISC OS. It can also be used to cross-compile RISC OS applications and modules from Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, Cygwin on Windows, and Mac OS X.
