And a happy new year!

baublesThe turkey's been eaten and we're waiting for our Christmas pudding to be served up with rich brandy sauce. Hic. So in the meantime allow us to wish every one of you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. The past 12 months have been a blast, and it was made all the more better by your comments, forum posts and emails. Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to read our articles and participated in discussions.

Many thanks also to everyone who contributed to Drobe this year, from news tips and behind-the-scenes work to penning full feature articles. Thanks in particular go to writers David Llewellyn-Jones, Mike Carter, Nick Brown, Paul Stewart, Michael Reed, Mark Stephens, Martin Hansen, Martin Bazley and server master Ian Hawkins.

Our most popular article of the year was our coverage of Paul Stewart's DIY laptop project, which attracted interest from readers of mainstream IT news websites. The top five most read stories of the year, so far, are:

  1. A9home DIY laptop: first pictures
  2. South West show reports and photos
  3. ROX founder: Why I brought RISC OS to Unix
  4. Wakefield 2007 live news and photos
  5. Review: A9home v. Koolu

Don't forget to vote in this year's Best of 2007 awards. Drobe will return in the new year.
