Castle Technology play their cards right

Castle Technology obviously like to play hide and seek with their news editors. Press releases? We've heard of them. Anyway, drobe.co.uk is very excited today because we've discovered that Castle -the people who brought you the 300MHz Kinetic StrongARM card- are selling 100MBit ethernet network cards for RiscPCs and at a reasonable price too. One RISC OS developer has already commented to drobe that these cards are indeed "bloody marvellous". The new network cards are standard RPC NICs and feature an RJ45 type-socket.

Up and till now, RISC OS machines have been limited to 10MBit network cards which can transfer data at 900KB per second. Castle's new 100MBit network cards are able to shift up to 6MB of data per second, being limited really by the RiscPC podule bus. More info will follow when we can get some news from CTL towers.
