
drobe.co.uk was poked today by none other than Alex Macfarlane Smith, one of the Nettle developers, regarding his port of the popular Windows SSH client, PuTTY. Currently in the alpha stage of development, Alex admits it might be "unstable or insecure, but seems to work". Anyone who tries the software should contact Alex to report on how it went.
ssh is a secure means of connecting to a remote machine, usually to issue commands in a shell.
