Playback controls in KinoAmp, DigitalCD updates plus more [Updated 08:16 2/4/2003] And even more

A short round up, we'll first admit but seeing as these people kindly emailed us, we'll give them a shout.

DigitalCD
Andre Timmermans has let us know that his all singing, all dancing music playing application DigitalCD, which can handle a large number of audio formats, has been updated to version 2.54. The main changes, we're told, are 32 bit compatibility and support for Ogg Vorbis files.

KinoAmp

Andre's also gently pointed us at Peter Everett's much improved KinoAmp, the top MPEG video player for RISC OS originally developed by eQ. KinoAmp now provides full multitasking playback control, such as a rewind function, and also supports interlaced MPEGs. Excellent work!

WimpSWIVe
Finally, Andrew Hill's told us that he's updated WimpSWIVe to 0.08 after adding a "RISC OS 4/5 service module header" to the module. WimpSWIVe enables software developers to trap SWI calls to the Wimp.

Also, we've been warned that a new version of Pineapple's VProtect virus detection module is imminent.

Update
There's been another surge of updates after we first published this article. Martin Avison's debugging utility Reporter is now 32 bit compatible and includes a new ReportLog command as well as other useful updates. Wimpbasic.org seem happy that "95%" of their stuff works with Aemulor. Version 0.60 of X-Ample's Confix, a generic software configuration tool for other programmers to use, has been updated. Flexible image cataloguing and HTML-gallery-generating application Thumbcat has been bugfixed to version 2.2. ARMalayser, David Ruck's extensive ARM code analyser, has been brought up to version 0.44 with lots of new features.
