Other interesting things you can try

Drobe Launchpad today opened a new headlines section on the drobe.co.uk front page - a section devoted to articles on alternative operating systems for Acorn hardware and other related ARM based hardware.

That means any interesting news and information on OSes like ARM Linux and NetBSD that run on familiar hardware. The new alternative OS section is aimed at users who have spare hardware and want to experiment with other OSes and users who have a specific need to run an alternative OS on their ARM hardware.

We won't be covering general Linux or BSD news as there's zillions of news outlets already established for that. Plus, we'll be too busy covering news and issues in the RISC OS world.

Whilst we strive to update the RISC OS news section every day, we're aiming to update the alternative OS section every so often each month. Please, feel free to send us news, articles or offers to maintain this new Drobe Launchpad section.

This new section won't be for everyone but we hope some of you find it useful.

Chris Williams, drobe.co.uk editor.
