Stunt Racer 2003 demo version exclusive to drobe.co.uk

Disclaimer

This Stunt Racer 2003 mini-site is a joke, specifically an April Fool. The hoax was conceived by Peter Naulls and written and executed by Chris Williams with some source lent by Toby Hunt. The game screenshots were 'borrowed' from the excellent Powerslide, a PC game by Ratbag, which does indeed exist. Ratbag Games have nothing to do with mini-site and Tempest RISC OS Gaming is merely a far away dream. We hate to break this to you but Stunt Racer 2003 doesn't exist, at least not to our knowledge. We're very sorry but we dearly hope you at least had a chuckle.

The stunt was produced entirely using RISC OS 4.33 using Artworks, Photodesk, Insignia, Variations, Paint, ChangeFSI, StrongEd and FTPc. The demo version works to varying degrees of "works" and you're welcome to fetch it and try it out. Incidentally, the music is a public domain tracker file, titled "Deep Sleep" featured on an AU cover disc many, many moons ago. Diodesign claims copyright solely on the program code that drives the "demo", the screenshots and music and the music playing module (Digital Symphony Player by Oregan Developments) are nothing to do with us.

Of course, we could babble on here about other similarly pre-announced products and over due kit but we won't. For a change, this caper carries no editorial undertones or anything like that. Have a nice day and let us know what you thought.

Demo screenshots

In case you couldn't get the demo to run, for whatever reason seeing as it's a joke and we weren't exactly aiming for rock solid stability to be honest, here's some choice screenshots of the stunt in action.
