German RISC OS meetBy Peter Naulls. Published: 5th Oct 2004, 19:30:03 | Permalink | Printable
Overnight madnessHerbert zur Nedden found time in his schedule last week to remind us of the yearly German RISC OS meeting/show, held near Hannover. The German RISC OS users are of course only rivalled for their enthusiasm for the platform by their counterparts in The Netherlands, at the bigger Big Ben Show.
The German meet is a less formal affair, with a variety of RISC OS personalities and talks, with the promise of a few surprises. Unlike other RISC OS events, this one continues well into the night, and Herbert tells us that 3am is a typical ending time.
Events lined up include gigabit benchmarking with Iyonix PCs, problem solving sessions and Castle will also be present to offer Iyonix PAL/motherboard modifications. The event will cost you 8 Euro, and for a further very reasonable 25 Euro, you get 3 meals and a place to sleep.
The event takes this weekend on the 9th and 10th of October. Hopefully drobe will have some spying eyes present to report on the event.
